For the National Day of the Earth, KESH sh.a in collaboration with the regional education directorate of Shkodra has organized the cleaning activity of “hot spots” (touristic places) located in Ura e Mesit, Velipoje and the Castle of Shkodra. This activity has been initiated by KESH sha with the support of Regional Education Directorate of Shkodra in regard with the social and environmental responsibility and commitment. 

The purpose of this activity was to make the community aware to protect and keep the environment and the earth clean. Around 150 students of different undergraduate schools and the employees of HEC Vau Dejes, Production Department attended this activity. 
On this day Kesh sh.a and DAR Shkoder signed a memorandum of understanding for the following purposes;

– Organization of undergraduate students of Shkodra Region for the site visit in HEC Vau Dejes of KESH sh.a to present and inform them with the technical processes of this hydropower. 

– Organization of different activities/initiatives which aim to protect and keep the environment clean, inform the students about the renovation energy and its efficient usage. 

– Integration and participation to different activities which may be organized by different Non Public Organizations or by the Environment Inspectorate.

The purpose of this MoU is as following:

– Awareness of young generation to minimize the environmental pollution during their daily activity. Give advices how to keep the environment clean and sufficient knowledge regarding the proper collection of waste in a differentiated manner. 
– Introduction to undergraduate students of Shkodra Region with the “Energy” concept, types of energy, production, awareness to use it with efficiency. 

– Introduction with technical processes of Hydro Power Plants activity. 
– Introduction with technical processes of Hydro Power Plants activity in regard with protection and responsibility against the environment. 
At the end of this activity, T-shirts and certificates have been delivered to all attendees.
