Increase of Production efficiency

Maintenance, continuous improvement of the technical level of operation and readiness of hydropower plants managed by the Albanian Power Corporation are some of the main continuous work activities of KESH.

The Albanian Power Corporation has made a number of investments using its own funds and borrowed funds for the rehabilitation and renovation of electro-mechanic equipment in the three HPPs on the Drin Cascade.
These investments were mainly focused towards:
• Renovation and technical improvement of the aggregate regulation systems, in order to increase the safety level and
improve the functional sustainability parameters.
• Monitoring the working conditions and technical state of the machinery and equipment in order to duly prevent
failures and defects.
• Providing technical support with equipment and metering and testing devices for the transformers, generators and
other equipment parameters, so as to enable the increase of the technical level, both for the timely diagnosis of
issues and for repairing them.
By means of such investments, KESH aims to ensure maximum readiness of generating capacities; keep floods discharge equipment on standby; minimize faults and defects in machinery and equipment.
